Polymer clay can be used to make jewellery such as beads, pieces of bracelets, earrings, pendants etc either using its own material or with other materials such as Art clay silver or glass.

They can even be used to shape into figurines and even creating your own dollhouse funiture etc.  The entire usage up to your imagination.

These are just some of the jewellery pieces, pictures I took from a book, which you can create and let that creativity of yours flow and show.

 

 

Technique : moulding, shaping, firing, sanding, and varnishing

Level : Basic to Advanced (6 sessions)

Duration:  3 hour / individual /group

Description:  In the various classes,  we will learn how to make canes for jewellery or for pendants to mould and emboss or carved,  beading to roll and make holes for inserting beadwires, etc.... the techniques to using polymer clay varies so much as it is all up to your imagination and creativity.

Course Fees:  S$200 inclusive of clay used for a project

Students can purchase more clay if they wish to make pieces apart from what is being taught and used.

 

 

 

In the Art Clay Silver classes, I will firstly give an introduction to this type of art and then we will learn to make small projects such as brooches, rings, pendants, earrings, etc with the many different styles.

You will make what you like and take it home rather than to make something a whole class will learn and hate what you have made. I felt this way and that's why I went on to make some very special pieces of my own and I want you to learn the art and create your own designs.

 

Technique: folding, rolling, cutting, sculpturing to create your design

Level : Basic / Advanced

Duration: 4 hours each session

Course fee:  S$250 including clay but excluding working materials per session

Description: students will learn to create their designs with the different methods at each session and inorder to learn all the different techniques, a total of 4 sessions is required.

Techniques : Wire-wrapping

Level : Intermediate

Duration :  3 hours /group / individual

Description : Learn to make a full necklace with pearls and crystals on head pins.  Coil wire on a main piece wire to make a necklace or bracelet.

Course Fee : S$150 / S$180

Kit : Assortment of pearls and crystals, head pins,

instructions for wire wrapping, chain for bracelet. 

 CLASSIC NECKLACES

Techniques:  Wire Wrapping

Level: Basic to Intermediate

Duration:  3 Hours /Group / Individual (Registration required)

Description:  Using sterling silver wire, beads and semi-precious stones, students will learn to make loops on beads, joining the beads into a a beautiful necklace.   The techniques learned will also allow the students to make necklaces and earrings on their own at home.

Course Fee:  S$150 / S$180

Kits:  Semi precious stone beads, silver wire, gold-plated wire,  sterling silver clasp, Gold plated clasp,   Tools such as round nose pliers, flat nose pliers and cutter will be provided in class  

ENDLESS LOVE 

  

Technique : Bead stringing

Level :  Intermediate

Duration : 2 hours / Group / Individual (registration required)

Description : Students will learn how to use flexible needle to thread beads onto silk cord and ending without knotting.  Beads and colour supplied may vary from picture posted.  Students can do their own design and purchase materials during class.

Class Fee : S$100 / S$120

Kit : Pearls and quartz chips         

VANITY

Multiple stinging necklace.

Description : Students will learn to string and balance multiple strands of beads / chips onto a clasp.

FULLY KNOTTED PEARL NECKLACE

Technique : Bead Knotting

Level : Beginners (Group of 4 max) / Individual

Duration :  3 hours  Must Register first

Description :  Students will learn the traditional method of pearl knotting with silk cord while making a fabulous bracelet with the sparkle of crystal and the elegance of pearls. Proper finishing techniques will be discussed and used.

Class Fee : S$120 / S$150
Beading kit comprises of freshwater pearls, silk cord, clasps and scissors.

Today I had 2 advertisements placed in the Straits Times.

Personal Grooming - a 2 hour session on Creating Profile, knowing skin and personality type on Sat 4th from 2-4pm
There was only a couple of responses but no firm decisions by the ladies if they were confirmed on attending.

Art and Craft - beading and Art Clay silver classes - wow! the responses I got was overwhelming.  I've some who wants only individual sessions but I can understand their problems. They just do not have the time to attend a combined class as they have kids and pets to take care of.

The best thing that came out of the advertisements was a call from Media Corp asking me to advertise on their online website: www.mocca.com.  It's free for a month and there may be charges later but I think what they are charging is still considerably affordable and reasonable.
